Photography A1 Mock Project
Further Haunted Portraits
My Research/Image Bank:

After completing a haunted shoot I would like to complete a further haunted shoot with more extreme make up effects. This would be considered a challenge for me as I have never completed such extreme haunting makeup like the kind being modelled in the photos of my previously researched image bank. However, I am going to take this challenge and attempt to create these further haunted photographs, hopefully using a more extreme haunted makeup.
AO1: Develop ideas through sustained and focused investigations informed by contextual and other sources, demonstrating analytical and critical understanding.
During this photo shoot I placed the camera settings onto...
Exposure 1/60 sec, F/4.5 and an ISO of 1250.
On the other hand, for this shoot I took a much darker approach to these further haunted portraits. I didn't use any soft box lights but still used the black sheet background to keep the haunted effect. I relied purely on the flash from the camera to create the lighting within the photographs.

My Contact Sheets:
Throughout my contact sheets I have underlined the best photographs with green to make it very clear. As well as, underlining the photographs that need improvements, within the contact sheet, with the colour red to show the clear difference between.

My Best Images:
These photographs are what I consider to be my best images that I previously underlined in green within the contact sheets. I believe that they are the best photographs as they show potential for photos with a haunted mood and effect once being edited.

Images that need Improvements:
AO3: Record ideas, observations and insights relevant to intentions, reflecting critically on work and progress.
I chose these photographs as the ones which require the most improvements as I struggled with the lighting and certain shadows that covered the subjects face. In some cases the photograph appeared to be blurry or very out of focus also.

My Editing Process:

AO2: Explore and select appropriate resources, media, materials, techniques and processes, reviewing and refining ideas as work develops.

For this shoot I decided to edit some photos into black and white and others in high contrast colour. This was the process that I chose to proceed with in my previous haunted shoot which was successful.
My Edited Images:

AO4: Present a personal and meaningful response that realises intentions and, where appropriate, makes connections between visual and other elements.
At the end of this shoot, I am pleased with the overall edited images and believe that they have created the further haunted mood and effect. I enjoyed taking the makeup affects further after completing the previous haunted shoot. Also, this shoot has been one of my most successful as it has showed a successful form of dramatic portraiture, which overall I have enjoyed shooting for my mock project.
